It could be hereditary.   The tendency to get hit by buses can be passed down through the generations, usually through the female line.  At present there is no known therapy for this condition, although scientists in Norway recently identified the gene responsible for causing people to be hit by public transport, along with the amino acid which causes a craving for salted nuts.  However, there are courses available to help you minimise the effects of this debilitating disease.  These mostly involve watching a man in an overcoat pointing to a picture of a bus on a flipchart as he makes 'chuff chuff' noises and tells you that you 'might want to get out of the way next time you see something like this'.
