I don't think you have anything
to worry about. Most breeds of turkey are extremely venomous, and some of the larger
specimens are capable of killing an antelope with a single bite. However, modern
processing methods remove most of the turkey's venom, and the filleting and freezing
process can seriously diminish its ability to cause lasting damage. However, there
is the possibility that you could have been infected. Did you notice any swelling
around the wound - and if so, is this accompanied by a feeling of restlessness at
Christmas and a tendency to lay eggs?
